I tried nearly everything, always looking for the next best thing. I was addicted to buying all those books on how to make money from home with weird "get rich quick" schemes.
You name it, I looked into it – vending machines, franchises, penny stocks, network marketing, even Amway. Nothing seemed to work. It wasn't that these types of money making opportunities weren't valid, it was the fact that you had to work so hard to make them work. I'm not afraid of hard work, however, I believe in working smarter rather than harder. All these seemingly legitimate work at home opportunities wanted me to work hard without much gain and no end in site.
